I'm Ciana. I care about ethics, clarity, and how ideas travel — which is a roundabout way of saying I like figuring out what's actually true and then finding the clearest way to say it.
Most of that starts as words: essays, Futurem magazine, the Tactical Tech podcast. But an idea that only lives on the page hasn't really been tested yet. I build things — code, tools, small systems — to see if the idea holds up outside my head, and I perform on stage to see if it holds up in front of people, live, with no edit button.
Writing is the starting point. Building and performing are where those ideas go next. This site is organized around that flow — not a list of everything I've done, but the work that comes from asking questions and refusing to leave them abstract.
The work
Ideas
Essays, Futurem magazine, and Tactical Tech — taking something unclear and making it legible.
OpenBuild
Code and tools for questions that need more than prose — from autonomous racing to data visualization.
OpenStage
Theatre, musicals, and choir — landing an idea live, once, with no revision pass.
OpenGolf is where a lot of this discipline started — patience, practice that compounds slowly, recovering in public. More on golf
